June 27, 2018 1:03 am

Tax reforms, border security, medical tourism, cybercrime and climate resilience will be the main points of discussion at the Fiji-New Zealand business council conference tomorrow.

The annual conference will have about ten speakers with Fiji’s Commissioner to NZ Filimoni Waqabaca and his NZ counterpart Jonathan Curr to feature as keynote speakers.

Fiji-NZ Business council president Vinay Narsey says the conference will allow business operators from both countries an opportunity to hear and understand the policies of the two governments.

New-Zealand-Fiji business council President Chandar Sen says this is also a good time for participants to know which key areas need to be invested on.

He adds the ball is in their court and this is a good time for businesses in NZ to invest in Fiji.

Sen says the increasing number of participants each year shows more business operators are interested in setting up businesses in Fiji.

Hundreds are expected to be part of the conference in Suva tomorrow with the theme “Fiji moving towards 2020 and beyond.”
