27 Social Welfare recipients get more help

27 social welfare recipients around the country will benefit from a venture between the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation and MH Supermarkets.

The 27 will receive farming equipment, seedlings, sewing machines and other benefits from MH Supermarkets to assist them in generating income for their families.

Minister Rosy Akbar says the agreement between MH and the Ministry will further boost the families in ensuring that they have a supplementary income.

She says partnerships between the public and private sector can assist those living in poverty.
