Broncos and New South Wales prop Payne Haas will not be a fan favorite at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Wednesday when they play Queensland in the State of Origin 2.
Speaking to NRL.com, Haas says he’s prepared for a chorus of boos from the fans he usually calls his own.
The Brisbane Broncos prop says he doesn’t think the Maroons fans will care who he is, they’ll be booing his just as much as the rest of the team.
He adds it’s a challenge to play in Brisbane, but they’ve done it before and we’ve won a decider there so they can do it again.
It will be the 11th State of Origin appearance when he runs out on Wednesday night and fourth time playing at Suncorp Stadium in Blues colours.
