Levuka is known to produce Fiji’s top weightlifters and they are proud of their next achievements.

16 year old Julia Timi has just returned from a two weeks training program in New Caledonia and says there’s a big difference between training at home and overseas.

“I’ve learned a lot while away from home. Traingin was so different and I know it has helped me become a better lifter. I have a long way to go and am looking forward to more opportunities.”

Timi will be joined by 19 year old Arieta Mudunavou – the dupo will represent Fiji at the Youth Olympic Festival in January next year.
