The Lautoka football side is through to the final of the Courts Inter District Championship after edging Rewa 1-nil in the first semi-final at Churchill Park.
Former Labasa rep, Christopher Wasasala’s goal in the first spell proved to be the difference in the match.
Dave Radrigai missed a penalty for Lautoka in the first half.
Rewa’s Lorima Dau was red carded in the dying stages of the match.
Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy says, his team played to the game plan they had talked about.
“I think Rewa is a good side, they have been playing very well in the two tournaments and we played our hearts out. We had a game plan and I didn’t do it alone but all the officials worked as a team.”
The second semi-final is underway between Ba and Suva.
