2019 World Rugby Men’s 7s player of the year Jerry Tuwai is now turning his focus to the World Series which starts next month.

Tuwai says despite not being in the team for the Oceania 7s Championship in Suva, they are preparing for the Dubai and Cape Town 7s.

“That’s the overall plan we are preparing for the Dubai and Cape Town 7s and we are not looking to Tokyo right now but our preparation and focus is on Dubai and Cape Town 7s.”

Tuwai says as the defending champions of the series, they will need to start well.

Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with New Zealand, Japan Development, New Caledonia and Niue for the Oceania 7s which starts tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The Fiji Men’s 7s side will play their first match tomorrow against Niue at 1:34pm before taking on Japan SDS at 7:26pm.
