Fiji 7s captain Paula Dranisinukula

‘‘We need to lay the platform in Dubai’’.

These were the words of Fiji 7s captain Paula Dranisinukula with three days left before the 2019/2020 World Series starts in Dubai.

Dranisinukula says the need to hit the series early meaning they have to make an impressive start this week in Dubai and next weekend in Cape Town, South Africa.

‘’It is really important to start well in the series because when you win the first two and get to win the third one you won’t worry about the last few legs you know you’ll hit the series early’’.

Fiji will play Japan at 4:02 am on Friday before meeting Argentina at 10:04 pm also on Friday.

The final pool match will be against France at 4:02 am on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s will also feature in the second leg of the Women’s series in Dubai with their first match at 12:12 am on Friday against Australia.
