The Rotuma athletics squad is hoping to make its mark in the 2015 Chow Games, which starts tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Team Manager,Viliame Rafaele says 18 of the best islanders have been selected for the competition and are raring to take the track and field by storm.

“They all look forward to coming to the games; actually there were 36 athletes selected and then went on trial and we could only bring 18 due to the high cost of transportation and other things.”

The Rotuma athletics squad has been training in Suva for the past two weeks.

The Games gets underway at 8am tomorrow.

1540 athletes will be representing 20 districts over the two-day meet.
