Female surfers Hannah Bennet and Talei Lovell were finally able to show their talent in the waves after finishing in 1st and 5th place respectively in the female long board.

MaliaJohnson and Ceceilia Oliver followed Bennett’s successful lead and were able to find some decent scoring rides to place second and third respectively.

All three will now move into the open women semi final with Lovell, putting up a good fight in the repecharge round.

Fiji is fielding 12 surfers in the Melanesian Cup, which concludes on Saturday.
