The New Zealand 7s team who arrived in the country yesterday had their first run in the afternoon as they prepare for the 2018 Oceania 7s Championship this weekend.
The side will feature two Fijians, Luke Masirewa and Joe Ravouvou who are expected to come out firing during the two-day-event.
Coach Clark Laidlaw says the Oceania 7s is a great chance for the team to get out on the field before the HSBC World Series kicks off at the end of the month.
_“We not taking any game for granted so we’ll tray and play well and build on a game towards Dubai and we just concentrating on ourselves and hoping we get good results on Day one and hopefully play Australia and Fiji on Day Two.” _
The All Blacks will face New Caledonia and Nauru in Pool B.
Meanwhile, Fiji plays Solomon Islands in its first pool match at 4.57pm on Friday before taking on Papua New Guinea at 8.06pm at the Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
