All Fiji Airways Flying Fijians squad members playing for the Fijian Latui will not feature for the Fijian Drua in time for the National Rugby Championship.

This was confirmed by the Fiji Rugby Union, Chief Executive, John O’Connor saying that the players will be in camp for the Flying Fijian squad to the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Seruvakula says that the Flying Fijians have a different pathway, they are playing for the Latui to give them game time exposure at high level but when they are marching into camp for the Flying Fijians then they are fully devoted.

He adds that unless they do not make the squad then they can go back and play for the Drua.

The Latui are on a bye from the Rapid Rugby Competition this weekend.

Coach, Senirusi Seruvakula says players need to feature for their provincial team in the Skipper.

“All players free of injury have to play for their various province so that’s just because of maintaining game fitness.”

Meanwhile, the Skipper Cup will continue this weekend and the Northland – Naitasiri match will be live on FBC Sports at 3pm Saturday.
