Netball Fiji President, Wainikiti Bogidrau says the Fiji Pearls is grateful for the assistance of former Western Australia netballer Jill Macintosh.

This was made possible through the assistance of the Australian Government.

The Pearls before taking part in the Cadbury Netball Series trained for a month in Australia and before that, they took part in the Arafura Games.

“It enabled us to get that Australian exposure, get technical experts such as Jill Macintosh helped the girls and of course funded the whole Australian tour plus the Arafura Games.”

Bogidrau appreciates the assistance of the Australian High Commission which enabled the Pearls to train in Australia for a month where they won Gold at the Arafura Games.

Meanwhile, the Netball World Cup will be held in Liverpool in England from the 12th to the 21st of this month.
