Fijian winger Timoci Nagusa has spoken out about alleged racial abuse he received during his Montpellier side’s Top 14 clash against Pau in France.
The 28 year old, had an altercation with a supporter of the opposing team after receiving a yellow card in the first-half of the game.
The supporter allegedly responded by seemingly imitating a monkey, leading Nagusa to express his disappointment later on in the evening on Twitter.
Nagusa says he was sad to be called a monkey.
Montpellier has since then sent a request for footage from the incident to take the matter further.
Nagusa has been named as a non-travelling reserve for the Flying Fijians in the Rugby World Cup next month.
