The Maritime Zone had their playoffs today to determine their teams to the National Vodafone Kaji Rugby Championships next week.

Maritime Zone Vice President Kitione Turagabeci says the game is developing in the Islands and the teams are ready to take on the big guns in the National tournament.

“The game is developing in the Islands especially in the south. Last year the Kadavu under 14 team reached the final and lost in the last minute to Suva by just one point.”

All teams from the Maritime zone have progressed to the National Vodafone Kaji Rugby Championships however Kadavu and Ovalau’s teams will play in the Tier One competitions while Koro and Gau will play in the Tier 2 competition.
