Mannering to become Warriors first triple centurion

August 27, 2018 6:01 pm

Simon Mannering will become the Warriors club’s first triple centurion when they host Canberra in their final regular season match on Friday.

His 300th match may also be his last in Auckland, depending on the make-up of the finals.

He hasn’t left yet but the tributes are already flowing week for departing Warriors great Mannering, including an accolade out of left field from Coach Stephen Kearney saying that no NRL player has clocked up more air miles than the 31-year-old.

Meanwhile Brisbane and the Warriors will be playing for a chance of a home final, and both have home ground advantage this week against a team that will miss the eight.

The Broncos face Manly on Sunday while the Warriors host Canberra on Friday.

The Sea Eagles may be struggling but they did shock the Sharks earlier this month while the Raiders can’t be underestimated after claiming the scalps of the Roosters and Rabbitohs in the past fortnight.
