New Zealand-based Simeli Koniferedi will join the Flying Fijians rugby camp this afternoon.

The former Nadroga fullback will join the likes of North Harbour duo Apisalome Ratuniyarawa and Malakai Ravulo along with Samu Wara from the Force as the overseas-based players in camp.

The four overseas-based players will train with the local-based players before coach Inoke Male names his final touring party.

Meanwhile, former Wallaby Cameron Blades, who is the new scrum coach for the side, says he is looking forward to assisting the team.

He adds scrums have always been an issue for Fiji teams and emphasizes that set pieces are vital to win any game.

Blades says his aim is to ensure there is a strong Fijian front row and tight five developed for the coming years.
