The Fiji Football Association will be opening its first-ever fully equipped gymnasium at the National Football Academy in Ba soon.
This was made possible through an income generation project grant from the sport’s world body – FIFA.
Fiji FA President, Rajesh Patel says the new gymnasium, worth over $300,000, is a major boost for the football academy and the soccer-mad town.
“It will be use for the national team that will be here and at the same time we are looking forward to a better income generation with the physio to be based full time here and they will be looking after the gym where people get to know some know hows in training and things like that and at the same time private physio will be available and they have to pay the fees.”
Fiji FA is still awaiting the gym equipment to arrive from New Zealand before opening the facility next month.
