Gideon Rodan wants to continue family legacy

14-year-old Gideon Rodan will carry his mother’s hope into the 2017 ITTF World Cadet Challenge starts tomorrow in Suva.

Rodan who is the son of the 2016 Best Sports Woman of the Year and Fiji Para Table Tennis rep Mere Rodan, says he is looking forward to adding another win for the family.

“I’m really happy to be playing for Fiji especially playing in front of my family. My mom has always been there for me guiding me always inspire me. I’m looking forward to be up against top competitors and I’m ready.”

The Year 9 student of DAV College adds he hopes to gain more exposure in the tournament.

The tournament starts tomorrow at Suva’s Vodafone Arena.
