School teacher Nathan Shivam returns to top level football when he will run on for Navua at the Vodafone Fiji FACT, staring in Nausori on Friday.

The 2012 FACT hero for Suva, where he scored the winning goal in the final against Ba, Shivam has been out of action for over a year.

Speaking to FBC Sports, Shivam says he has tasted victory with Suva and now it was time to help his home district.

“I am getting this opportunity to play in this Fiji FACT. However, I am not that fit enough because I have not played for a year and half now. I am very glad Navua Football Association has given me a chance to be part of the team.”

He adds that the long break from the football allowed him to recover from his knee injury which he sustained in the 2012.

Nathan and his Navua team will start the tournament by taking on Nadi at 1pm.

You can catch the live commentaries of the Ba-Nadroga game at 3pm, Suva-Lautoka clash at 5.30pm and the Rewa- Labasa match at 7.30pm on Radio Fiji 2 with the voice of soccer Raymond Stoddart.
