Final 31 for World Cup named

The Vodafone Flying Fijians squad to carry the country’s flag at the Rugby World Cup has been named.

Flying Fijians coach John McKee has gone with 18 forwards and 13 players in the backline as predicted.

Lee Roy Atalifo, Isei Colati, Campese Ma’afu, Peni Ravai and Manasa Saulo make up the props.

The three hookers are Sunia Koto, Tuapati Talemaitoga and Viliame Veikoso while the locks will be Tevita Cavubati, Leone Nakarawa, Api Ratuniyarawa and Nemia Soqeta.

Masi Matadigo, Akapusi Qera, Malakai Ravulo, Netani Talei, Dominiko Waqaniburotu make up the locks while the half backs are Nemia Kenatale, Nikola Matawalu and Henry Seniloli.

The inside backs will be Lepani Botia, Gabby Lovobalavu, Josh Matavesi and Ben Volavola while McKee has chosen Vereniki Goneva, Kini Murimurivalu, Nemani Nadolo, Waisea Nayacalevu, Metuisela Talebula and Asaeli Tikoirotuma.

Akapusi Qera will lead the team while he will be assisted by Vereniki Goneva and Sunia Koto.

McKee has also named 6 non travelling reserves which includes Joeli Veitayaki, Jerry Yanuyanutawa, Jale Sassen, Savenaca Tabakanalagi, Seremaia Bai, Napolioni Nalaga and Timoci Nagusa.
