Kaiviti Silktails Head of Athletic Performance Tom Watkins  is working to expose the raw talent in the team.

The strength and conditioning coach says Fijians are athletically talented people.

He adds exposing the Silktails to the Ron Massey Cup is a great opportunity for the local players.

“Preparations has been really fantastic this week we’ve got a really good group of boys and there’s just a lot of raw talent here and it’s something that very exciting and it’s something all the people of Fiji should be excited about, a local team entering into the Ron Massey Cup and one that will be very competitive I think.”

Watkins brings a lot of experience to the side as he has worked with NRL clubs such as the Sydney Roosters, Parramatta Eels and the Australian 7s side.

The Kaiviti Silktails continue preparations with some players yet to join the side.

The New South Wales Ron Massey Cup will be played in March next year.
