The Vodafone Fiji Football Under 20s have less than two weeks before their FIFA World Cup qualifier begins at Suva’s ANZ Stadium on May 23.
With New Zealand already qualifying as hosts Fiji’s chances lie with overcoming island neighbors American Samoa, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
They will play in a round-robin competition – Fiji’s first match is against American Samoa on Friday May 23.
Two days later, the hosts take on New Caledonia after which games against PNG, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands will follow.
The team with the most points at the end of the tournament will be the other Oceania qualifier.
