Fiji FACT ready for kick-off

The stage is all set for the 2014Vodafone Fiji FACT, which gets underway at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today.

Eight super premier teams will battle for the top finish over the next two weekends with Nadi being the defending champions.

Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Bob Kumar says the ground is in the top condition for the next three days of top action.

“When I returned from Brazil last week and we made a tour on Monday and inspected and we are quite impressed that things were improving and this whole week the weather has been good and the town council has been working on the ground although we may not be perfect but it is in a reasonable good condition. Definitely everything is under control, the district association have prepared themselves and the administrative work has been completed.”

Meanwhile, Navua and Nadi get the tournament underway at 1pm.
