We will have a new Vodafone Cup champion this year as the defending champions Nadera Panthers were bitten by the Makoi Bulldogs in the semi-finals.

The Bulldogs proved to be stronger beating them 26-16.

In the other semi final Nadi based Sabeto Roosters crowed the Police Sharks off 30-20.

The Roosters and Sharks were tied 18 all at full time. Roosters showed greater fitness and pulled through in the extra time.

Next week’s finals will see the Roosters taking on the Bulldogs.
