Defending Champions of the Rooster Chicken National Football Club Championships, Suva’s Civic FC have made a good start to the finals playoffs at Ba’s Govind Park.

Rusiate Matererega scored the lone goal in the 1-nil win over Lautoka’s City United FC last night.

In other matches played yesterday, Ba’s 4R Electric upset Namaka FC 2-nil, Bureta FC defeated Lokia United 2-nil while Nakasi Lions proved too strong for Chelsea FC defeating them 3-1.

Pool matches continue today with the first match at 10am between 4R Electrical FC and FC City United while the semi-finals and final to be played tomorrow.
