Fiji Paralympic to recruit more athletes

The British High Commission is working closely with Paralympic Fiji in transforming societal attitudes towards people with disability.

Fiji Paralympic Association received a boost of twenty-five thousand dollars from the British Deputy High Commissioner Dave Jones today in Suva.

Fiji Paralympic President Shaenaz Voss says the grant will assist them in talent identification workshops to identify budding Paralympic athletes across the country.

“Next year our fellow Fijians will head to Japan alongside the able-bodied counterparts. Their goal is to bring back Paralympic glory for Fiji and for our country.”

The Fiji Paralympic Committee will be focusing on scouting more athlete this year for the 2020 summer Paralympics in Japan.
