American Foot Ball try-outs for Fijians

The Pacific Sports Management will be staging the first ever Combine regional testing in Fiji at the ANZ stadium today at 9pm, the Combine is an invitational scouting showcase, designed to discover and evaluate potential NFL talent.

Each of the athletes that register for the regional testing day, will be put through a series of speed and agility based tests which will be recorded and videoed.

75 athletes will be chosen from the regional tests in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Samoa, and will be flown to the Gold Coast on the 5th of October and accommodated, to participate in the NFL International Combine.

The NFL will select up to 5 athletes from the NFL International Combine and those athletes will enter the NFL International pathway, which will include a 3 month training program at the prestigious IMG Academy in Florida, USA, before either entering the NFL draft or being placed directly on an NFL team.

The testing program will begin at 9am today with the registration with the tests beginning at 10 am.

Any athlete in good physical condition and that is between the ages of 19-25 in 2019 can register.
