April 11, 2012 7:00 pm

All eyes will be on Wainimakutu Secondary school’s long distance runners in the Suva Zone One meet at the National Stadium today.

The rural school dominated these events last year however, meet co-ordinator Salote Maiwiriwiri says they won’t the only athletes out to impress and set new records.

“We have Asalita Wati from RSMS, Kapil Jekishan of International and these have been record breakers in the intermediate and junior events. There is Mesake from Nasinu Secondary and Kitione Daunivou who holds the record in the senior boy’s triple jump. Others include Susie Tucika from MGM and she holds the record for shot put.”
