12 applicants for Fiji Bati coach

The Fiji National Rugby League has received twelve applicants for the national coach.

This was confirmed by FNRL Chairperson Peni Musunamasi who says out of all the twelve, there’s only one local applicant.

Musunamasi says talks are also underway to invite international High Performance Unit specialists to develop the sport.

“We’re in the process of inviting Rugby League Australia to assist them in getting HPU specialists so that they can monitor their club junior grades for better NRL contracts.”

Meanwhile, the new coach is expected to be appointed by the end of December.
