Warm welcome for Prince Harry and Meghan at USP

October 23, 2018 10:20 pm

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were greeted with a huge crowd at the University of the South Pacific at Laucala Bay, Suva this morning.

Locals gave out a wild roar with their banner, placards and flags during the royal couple’s arrival.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took time out from the red carpet to meet campus students and children from the university’s preschool – who were eagerly waiting along footpaths and roadsides.

The couple are dressed in a more casual and ensemble outfit for today’s events.

The Duke is spotted with what looks like a blue Bula shirt and the Duchess is in what appears to be in a long-sleeve summer dress with ruffle details.

During his first address at the Grand Pacific Hotel last night, Prince Harry says they’re both looking forward to meeting the students at USP and the young leaders from all walks of life.

He adds that the health and sustainability of this planet depends on the younger generation as they’re full of optimism and that we should listen to them.
