Two men have been remanded in custody for their alleged involvement in assisting escapee Deshwar Kishore Dutt.

40-year-old Priest, Yogesh Prasad is charged with one count of harboring an escaped prisoner and one count of giving false information to police.

The second suspect, 45-year-old businessman Avinesh Singh has been charged with one count of harboring an escaped prisoner.

Singh who owns a rental car business allegedly transported Dutt.

The court also heard the priest has previous cases at the Nadi Magistrates court.

They have both been refused bail.

The two will re-appear on the 17th of this month for mention.
