In a bid to continue global branding initiatives twenty nine point seven eight million dollars has been allocated for Tourism Fiji for marketing.
The allocation will ensure Fiji remains a top holiday destination and maintains its growth to foster sustainable development for the industry.
Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya says the ministry is constantly engaging with industry stake holders, including Fiji Airways, to have more source markets for tourism arrivals.
“We are growing but growing doesn’t mean just opening up the skies and it means growing sustainably, we need to have the necessary inventory for more flights to come in.”
Meanwhile, one point five million dollars turnover threshold has been imposed for businesses currently paying Service Turnover Tax and Environment and Climate Adaptation Levy.
This threshold was aligned to the one point five million dollars for restaurants.
