Continuous needs have to be met to enhance service delivery, especially in government and statutory authorities.

Minister for Industry and Trade Premila Kumar says this can be done by ensuring that statutory authorities understand their obligations and duties towards customers, the organization and the government.

Kumar says they also need to have a greater level of transparency and accountability in the service delivery.

She adds the Ministry together with the Australian Institute of Company Directors has provided a learning platform, for interactive discussions and an opportunity to share, explore and discuss concepts and issues related to good public governance.

The Ministry with AICD has designed a training program which is designed in line to deliver good governance, financial management and effective strategies that take into consideration risk management in order to achieve the government’s broader vision of a brighter economic future for all.

This platform will give a director-oriented view of governance, finance, strategy and risk in different organizational structures.
