As we enter into the festive season, the South Pacific Stock Exchange is reminding the public to balance their consumption.
Manager Operations, Pretesh Prasad says it vital to maintain a balance as consumption is short term.
Prasad is urging the public to spend wisely and opt to investing their money to gain long terms benefits.
“Consumption of course will be there and especially the historical trends that during the festive season as such the consumption angle takes more focus but if you look at investor’s prospective and just to be much more intelligent and looking more so on the long term focus then people are to obviously maintain a balance between the consumption and long term investment.”
Prasad says this is the period whereby employees receive their Christmas bonuses and therefore it’s important to spend wisely and save up for the rainy days.
