Speaker of parliament Dr Jiko Luveni has met with Russian Ambassador Vladimir Morozov.

The meeting was to strengthen bilateral and political relations between the two countries.

Morozov says there are a lot of similarities between Fiji and Russia and it’s important to develop and strengthen parliamentary relations between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed the proposed visit to Russia by a parliamentary delegation led by Dr Luveni in July this year.
