SODELPA is expected to resubmit their candidate nominations with the Fijian Elections Office today.

The party on Tuesday afternoon submitted their nominations but failed to meet a requirement by the FEO.

SODELPA had submitted their candidate nominations together with $1000 payment for each candidate which was presented in a party’s cheque.

The requirement under the Elections Office is that any political party or independent candidate that lodges their nominations must pay a $1000 in legal tender or banker’s cheque.

SODELPA will be filing 51 candidacy nominations to contest the election next month.
