SODELPA takes lead in official result

SODELPA continues to lead the official results of the 2018 General Election with 4171 votes from 78 counting centers which have officially been counted and processed.

The party managed to secure 1324 votes from the Eastern division followed by 1107 votes from the west, 1289 from the central division and 451 from the North.

FijiFirst trails behind with 2267 votes with 1,057 votes secured from the Central division, 532 in the west, 313 in the North and 365 votes from the East.

The National Federation Party is in third place with 234 votes, followed by Unity Fiji with 120 votes, HOPE with 44 and Fiji Labour Party managing to secure only 23 votes.

However, FijiFirst leader, Voreqe Bainimarama tops the candidate list with most votes securing a total of 1773 votes.

He managed to rake in 898 votes in the central, 408 in the west, 209 in the North and 258 votes in the Eastern division.

SODELPA candidates Anare Jale follows with 725 votes, SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka has moved to third spot with 692 votes while Peceli Vosanibola secured 332 votes.

The results will continue to be officially released by the Fijian Elections Office as the day progresses.
