The Fiji Roads Authority contractors will be closing access to Nakasi Road from Kings Road intersection for the four-lane project.

FRA says as a consequence there will be “No Right Turn” from Kings Road into Nakasi Road and all access will be via the detour route.

Chief Executive Jonathan Moore says motorists will be able to access to Nakasi Road via Vishnu Deo Road and then turn left into Vavalagi Road.

He says Fijians wanting to access Kings Road can do so by following detour signs to Vavalagi Road, then turn right into Vishnu Deo Road then on to Kings Road.

FRA says these changes to the original design have been required in response to the increasing traffic volumes and to manage future traffic growth and congestion impacts.
