Decision on the disbursement of funds requested by the Non-Governmental Organization, People’s Community Network to complete the Lagilagi Housing second phase will be considered once the audit report is finalized.
Local Government Permanent Secretary Joshua Wycliffe in confirming this decision says the Ministry had requested for an internal audit on the supply chain.
PCN had earlier requested the sum of $800,000 from government to complete the thirty six housing lots that are yet to be completed at Jittu Estate in Raiwaqa, Suva.
“So we will have some form of a data to make a crucial decision in going forward not just for the remaining 30 plus dwellings but also in the future we have to engage with any agency in particular so we will know how to go on from there”
A total of 76 lots are included in the second phase of this Housing development, however, forty homes are completed and ready to be occupied while 36 are still remaining.
