A family residing in Nadi is claiming that one of its family member was assaulted by their neighbor during a land dispute in Wailoaloa yesterday.

Alvina Ram, the sister of the victim says the land dispute has been ongoing for months.

Ram claims their neighbour told her brother and their family to vacate their land in Wailoaloa.

She says their neighbour told her brother that the land belonged to them.

However, Ram says the land that her brother resides on for more than 10 years now belongs to Airports Fiji Limited.

“They always threatened my brother and they warned him that they would kill him. I told my brother to go and report the matter to the police.”

Ram says her brother is now admitted at the hospital after he was assaulted.

She also says that they have reported the matter to the Police.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms the family had lodged the complaint yesterday.

She adds that they are now investigating the matter.
