The Fiji Police Force is interested in building a stronger more fruitful relationship with the Public Service Commission.

This was evident after the Fiji Police Force, Major General Bernardus Groenewald met with Public Service Commission permanent secretary, Parmesh Chand, to discuss the new roles of the PSC under the 2013 Constitution.

They also spoke about resource sharing between PSC and the Fiji Police Force in regards to training facilities and continued participation of Fiji Police in PSC’s Leadership Development Training Programme.

Chand says as part of the Fiji public service reform, it was important for police officers be offered the same opportunities for upskilling.
