PM to attend Fiji Day celebrations in Canada

Fijians living in Canada have invited the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama to be their chief guest at their annual Fiji Day Celebrations.

Chairman of the Fiji Day Celebrations Canada, Netani Gucake says to have the Prime Minister attend the function will be a great honour for the Fijian Canadian community.

“Fijians living in Canada, they are giving their all to ask, their Prime Minister to come over, our elected favourite son of Fiji, to just come and bless the people of Fiji.”

Bainimarama’s air tickets have been paid for by the Fijian Canadian community.

The celebrations will be held from the 4th to the 10th of August in Vancouver.
