People are now waiting for daylight to start assessing the damage caused overnight by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.

With reports slowly filtering in from Lau and Vanua Levu, it is yet to be seen what havoc the category five cyclone caused in Viti Levu.

This as most parts of Viti Levu was hit late into last night and into this morning.

Police in Ba say there has been a lot of damage caused, including that to property.

Rakiraki, Tavua, Lautoka and Nadi has also suffered damage with an assessment to be made at day break.
