New Zealand has indicated that it has places for two Fiji Military Forces officers to study at the NZ Military Officers School next year.

This was indicated to Fiji’s Defence Minister Timoci Natuva by his NZ counterpart Gerry Brownlee during a meeting in Nadi last night.

It is the first time in eight years that the heads of defence from NZ and Fiji have met again.

Brownlee arrived into the country on Tuesday and held a series of meetings.

He told Natuva his visit to Fiji is a start to rekindling the relationship between the two Forces.

He also noted Fiji’s bilateral relationship with other allies such as China, India, Indonesia and Russia.

Natuva welcomed Brownlee’s visit adding Fiji will explore its cooperation with New Zealand and enhance its relationship with other allies.
