No decision made on FTUC’s permit application

No decision has been made yet by Police in relation to the application by the Fiji Trades Union Congress to hold a protest march in Nadi this week.

Police Chief of Operations, ACP Maretino Qiolevu says the decision will be relayed to the applicant when it is made.

FTUC General Secretary, Felix Anthony had earlier stated they applied for a permit to the Divisional Commander West last week – after the Executive Board met to discuss the issue of the national protest for May 3rd.

He says that at the meeting of its Suva affiliates, it was decided that a march also take place on the 4th of May.
