Fiji’s new Trade Commissioner to PNG Navitalai Tuivuniwai is expected to take his posting in Port Moresby soon.

Minister for Trade Faiyaz Koya confirms Tuivuniwai was appointed to the position two weeks ago.

He has undergone the necessary orientation and will be leaving for Port Moresby in a couple of week’s time.

Tuivuniwai was the Principal Economist at the Ministry of Trade prior to his appointment.

Koya says the appointment is in line with the Government’s desire to promote Melanesian trade between the two countries.
