The new Nausori market is now expected to be opened by August.

Local Government Minister Parveen Kumar says the delay has been caused by some issues with the development.

“In regards to the work that has been carried out right now but I can still confirm that we will have the completion by end of June and we’re looking at mid July or early August to have the grand opening.”

The municipal market will be the country’s biggest with 1800 vendors.
