November 5, 2014 11:15 pm

Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji has launched a new COKE Zero formulation especially for the Fijian Market.

CCAF general manager Steven Jowell says this was one of their three major business commitments for 2014 to increase availability of low and no calorie beverages.

Jowell says Fijians wanted a zero-calorie soft drink that doesn’t compromise on taste.

“What I have said before and as you see we are aware that low energy and sugary products are not a success in Fiji as they had in other countries such as Australia and New Zealand but we have decided to go take the industry lead in promoting this brand and making sure it becomes popular amongst Fijians. This is a significant launch for us. We will embark on a major marketing campaign over several months to promote Coke Zero. This will include a wide distribution of free samples so that most people in Fiji can enjoy the great taste of Coke Zero formulated with their preferences in mind.”

Jowell says they have worked with experts from US, New Zealand and other Pacific Islands to bring Fiji a new version of Coke Zero.
