The first set of generators at Nadarivatu could be up and running by as early as May.

Work on the Nadarivatu Hydro Scheme, according to FEA CEO Hasmukh Patel, is progressing well.

“The way we are going right now we have two generatoring sets in Nadarivatu. We think the first set should be livened up in May and the seocnd one in June.”

A planned power shutdown this weekend in the western division is a result of planned works on the scheme.

But according to the FEA, the shutdown won’t affect viewers who will want to watch the Hong Kong 7’s.
