My Suva Park was filled with rubbish this morning after people spent their Boxing Day holiday at the park yesterday.

Security Officer in charge Suliano Manu says the park was jam- packed and people left behind massive piles of rubbish afterwards.

“When I came this morning the Suva City Council was already collecting rubbish and there was so many rubbish laying around from yesterday. There was a lot of people here yesterday and mostly there were food wraps and other takeaway rubbish in the park.”

Suliano is urging the public to make use of the rubbish bins provided in the park and to be more responsible.

Suva City Council workers were out at 6am cleaning up the park.
